Stained-glass Windows in the Garden

My handy husband built a lovely arbor last year between our garden and our new “mini orchard”. It gives a kind of divide between the two properties and I love walking beneath it (like entering another world). I’ve planted a climbing rose that has almost reached the top. I’m sure the fast growing “Cecile Brunner” climber will be traveling across the top by next summer.

I’m not too fond of garden art or clutter but I have seen stained glass windows hung effectively in garden between garden “rooms” and as a  backdrops. They can be quite lovely. These pieces were given to us by a friend here in Cambria that had them taken out of a newly purchased home. She thought that they were too dark for her taste but I think they look great installed in the arbor.
